Support for Visual Studio 2010

Jan 27, 2010 at 2:53 AM

Hi there,

I never used the Oxite before and I'm excited to get into it.

I'm currently using Visual Studio 2010 BETA 2 at home since it's free. I'm trying to convert the project OxiteSite but no luck. Visual Studio says the project type is not supported by its installation, however the log shows a Project converted successfully. Can anybody give me a hint why this is happening and a workaround?

I appreciate.

Thank you!

Use the tool to convert the MVC project to MVC2 :

You could do that manually also, but not as easy as this method.
You'll have some error when building your project after that upgrade to MVC, I don't remeber exact step to solve them, feel free to post them... Or just look on your favorite search engine, it's fairly esay to fin the solutions.

hey skweeky,

I used the tool and it helped a lot... I had yes a few problems when building.

1) Add "RequestContext requestContext" to IController GetControllerInstance(RequestContext requestContext, Type controllerType)

file \Oxite\Oxite.Mvc\Infrastructure\OxiteControllerFactory.cs

2) Add ".ToString()" for the htmlHelper.*() errors.

a bunch of files

3) normal procedure:

Add dlls

  • BlogML 2.0 (BlogML.dll)
  • xunit-1.5 (xunit.dll, xunit.extensions.dll)

  • AntiXSSV31.msi
  • Unity Application Block 1.2.msi

Thanks a lot man!!
