Adding Comments to Post - Email validation

description

A problem occurs when adding an anonymous comment to a post:
The validation message does not show when an invalid email is entered and submitted with the subscription option unchecked. The validation does show when the subscription option is checked.

Related View: Views/Post/CommentFormAnonymous.ascx
Related Classes: UserBaseValidator, PostService.AddComment(), PostSubscriptionValidator

Workaround / fix:
In CommentFormAnonymous.ascx
Replace: Html.ValidationMessage("PostSubscription.Email", "Valid email required to subscribe.")
With: Html.ValidationMessage("UserBase.Email", "Valid email required to subscribe.")

Judging from the comments in the PostService code, it looks like the team may already be aware of this issue, but hopefully this'll help someone.

Making poor email regex problem a separate issue.

It needs to be able to pick up on both validation messages (invalid email and no email when subscribing). This was fixed up with changeset 29391.
