Data provider for SQL Server Data Services ?

Feb 18, 2009 at 6:26 PM
Hi,

I would like to know if you're planning to implement a data provider for SSDS ?
If not, in order to implement this provider what do you suggest ?
From what I've understood about Oxite architecture, I've just to write Oxite.LinqToSqlDataProvider project ?

No plans, but that would be great if you or someone built it.

You would start your own project and implement all the same I*Repository interfaces that all the classes in Oxite.LinqToSqlDataProvider implements.  Then in the web.config in the <unity> section change all the types to point to your classes instead.  That's it.  :)

Thank you for your response :)
I will inform you as soon as I have a deployed Oxite blog on Azure platform.

Hi,

A SDS Provider is no longer needed as the SQL Azure CTP is available now !

I've tested Oxite on Windows Azure + SQL Azure and it works perfectly :)

Nice!  Thanks for the notification.  Haven't tried it myself yet.  Will have to do that soon.  :)
